Refund and Returns Policy

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase from Newson Art.
If you are not satisfied, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
This policy explains your rights to cancel, return or request a refund in accordance with UK consumer law.

2. Your right to cancel (for online orders)

If you purchase artwork or prints online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason.
This is known as your “cooling-off period” under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

To exercise this right, please email newsonartcollections@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery, stating your order number and whether you would like a refund or exchange.

3. Returns process

If you cancel or wish to return an item:

  1. Contact us by email within 14 days of receiving the item.

  2. We will confirm the return address and instructions.

  3. Please return the item within 14 days of notifying us of your decision to cancel.

  4. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging, securely protected against damage in transit.

You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
We recommend using a tracked delivery service as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email and process your refund within 14 days.
Refunds will be made to your original payment method.

We will refund:

  • The full price of the item; and

  • The standard delivery cost (if applicable).

If the returned item is damaged, incomplete, or shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect it, we may deduct an appropriate amount from your refund.

5. Damaged or faulty items

If your artwork arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs showing the damage.

We will offer you:

  • A replacement (where available); or

  • A full refund including return postage costs.

We may ask you to return the damaged item or packaging for inspection.

6. Non-returnable items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty or damaged upon arrival:

  • Commissioned or custom artworks created specifically for you.

  • Personalised prints or products.

  • Digital downloads (e.g. digital prints or files).

Once a commissioned artwork has been started, the deposit is non-refundable, as materials and time are committed to your order.

7. Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items for another artwork or print of equal value, subject to availability.
If the replacement item costs more, you will need to pay the difference before it is dispatched.

8. Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund after 14 days, please check:

  • Your bank or card statement (it may take several days for funds to appear).

  • Your PayPal or Stripe account (if applicable).

If you have checked and still haven’t received your refund, please email newsonartcollections@gmail.com and we will investigate promptly.

9. Gift orders

If you received an item as a gift, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser’s payment method.
We can, however, offer an exchange or store credit to the gift recipient upon request.
